With Abel's unique InterchangeABELity of spools and frames, it substantially increases your options. InterchangeABELity means spools from the Big Game Series fitting into the frames of Large Arbor Super Series and vice versa. This is a feature that essentially gives you two separate reels for the price of less than one-and-one-half.
All reels are available in your choice of a high gloss Black Coral, matte non-reflective Guide's finish, platinum or gold. |

Abel Large Arbor Super Series All Large Arbor Super Series Reels spools are 100% interchangeable with spools of comparably-sized standard Abel Big Game Reels. This essentially gives you two totally different reels with different line capacities at the price of 1-1/2.
No other reels have the ability to interchange spools and frames and no other has the Abel drag system that gives you the ability to Stop-a-Sub.
All Super Series reels are ported (ventilated) using a 'rounded oblong' design that maintains total strength and rigidity in the metal. They're light, yet retain all of Abel's traditional strength and integrity.

Standard Arbor Big Game Series These rugged workhorses were introduced in 1987 and they revolutionized the fly reel industry. Great then. Better now!
All Big Games come with a solid frame. Ported frames are available at a modest additional charge.
InterchangeABELity sets may be purchased at significant savings compared to the same reel and spool purchased separately.

Anti/Reverse Series Anti/Reverse Reels are lightweight, utilize a unique ball bearing design, and have fewer moving parts.
Unlike a traditional single action fly reel, on an anti/reverse reel the handle does not turn when a fish takes line out. Each A/R reel comes with its own finger wrench for removing the spool.
Line and backing capacities are the same as Big Game models in the same size.

Abel Creek Series These are modern Large Arbor trout reels with traditional values including an adjustable click drag.
