image     All Nautilus reels are CNC machined from bar stock 6061-T6 aluminum in their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in south Florida, and are backed by a lifetime warranty.

All but the bearings, screws and anodizing is done in-house. Bearings are the best money can buy, screws and o-rings the same, anodizing is done at one of the world’s best anodizers. Nautilus doesn't skimp on production costs, which is why their reels perform as well as they do. The only plastic you will find on their reels are the o-rings and handles which are CNC machined out of impact and wear resistant Delrin.     image

Nautilus 8-10-12 Series   The Nautilus 8, 10 and 12 reels feature the smoothest, toughest, most consistent and simply the best drag system , they now also now house the revolutionary CCF Disc Brake System. These reels are built on Nautilus’ backbone of four oversized stainless steel ball bearings that are centered around the CCF Disc Brake System, giving them the ability to dissipate heat quickly and away from the working components. They have a silent retrieve and smooth outgoing click, and for quick and easy line changing on the water they sport hot changeable spools. All of the CCF reels feature large arbor spools for fast line retrieval, near zero start-up inertia and line memory, and have ample backing capacity to handle long and hard running fish. This salt water series from Nautilus will cover your needs whether stalking bonefish or distant tropical flats in sweltering heat, or Spey casting to salmon and steelhead in freezing latitudes.  ($400-$500)

Nautilus 12T and 12S Series   For blue water fishermen and Spey casters, the Nautilus 12S was designed to satisfy your needs. New in 2006, the Nautilus 12T bridged a gap between the Nautilus 12 and 12S, being powered by a larger version of the Nautilus CCF Disc Brake System. The retrieval rate of both the 12T and 12S will minimize the chance of a slack line when chasing a big fish, and will also reduce the time it takes to land a fish and increase the odds of a successful release.  ($565-$595)

Nautilus Spey Series   For Spey casters and two-handers, the Nautilus 12 family of reels was specifically built to address your needs. They deliver extremely fast line pick up that will help you put the fish on the reel in record time. To help prevent contamination on the drag surface, the Nautilus CCF Disc Brake System is sealed. These reels will deliver consistent and flawless performance and will never hydroplane if submerged, nor glaze over in freezing conditions. In 2006 the 12T was introduced to bridge the gap for Spey fishermen who need a somewhat smaller reel than the Nautilus 12S, yet whose needs were not quite met by the 12. The 12T is slightly narrower in diameter and width than the Nautilus 12S, and is a perfect match for the longer 7-12 weight Spey rods and lines. The retrieval rate of the 12T and the 12S will minimize the chance of slack line, allowing for constant pressure and reduced time in landing the fish.  (call for pricing)

Nautilus Feather Weight Series   The Feather Weight series from Nautilus has inherited some of the most desirable features of the CCF Nautilus series yet, weighing in at almost half the weight. This series was catered to the needs of the fresh water and light salt water fly fisher, a perfect match for today’s high modulus light weight fly rods, and are at the forefront of large arbor reel technology. This series will deliver faster line retrieval, less line memory and silky smooth drag due to the additional quarter inch in diameter compared to the other reels in its class. The Nautilus FW reels are designed for outfits covering 2 to 8 weight fresh and light duty salt water outfits. It’s no wonder that Fly Fishing Team USA selected the Nautilus Feather Weight series reels as their official competition fly reel for the 25th World Fly Fishing Championships.  ($275-$325)

Nautilus Feather Weight Plus Series   New in 2006, the Nautilus FW Plus reels were designed to offer increased versatility for the FW series of reels. Pairing the Nautilus FW 3 Plus reel with a WF5 line will give you a more compact 5 weight setup, yielding increased backing capacity and reduced weight. This series was designed to offer an increased range for either backing or line weight allowing you to pair more rods or fishing conditions to your Nautilus FW series of reels. FW Plus spools can be interchanged with regular FW spools for added versatility, allowing you to convert your existing FW 3,5 or 7 to a FW Plus. So, if you are looking to add backing capacity to challenge a bonefish on a 5 weight rod or an Albacore off the beach on your 7 weight schoolie striper rod, the Feather Weight Plus series is for you.  ($285-$345)
